Water quality and sampling

Water Quality and Sampling

of La Rivière du Nord in the Laurentians

Description

Started in 2010, the systematic sampling of the Rivière du Nord watershed has been put in place in order to gain an understanding of the water quality. Thanks to the partnerships that we’ve developed through the years, the number of water samples has multiplied allowing us to get a good grasp on the river’s water quality.

This program allows the collection of meaningful data that is scientifically sound and recognized and makes the information available to the public at large. The choice of sampling stations and the program’s development were made hand in hand with the various local organizations.
